I love large swathes of repeating patterns. This floaty shawl, knit in a simple lace repeat, is an easy knit for intermediate lace knitters, or a great way for beginners to train their hands to work with such fine yarn.
One size, 75" x 24" makes a generous wrap, perfect as a spring scarf or summer evening wrap.
I used all of six hanks of Rowanspun 4 ply, and only had to start the seventh to bind off the last row.
75" x 24"
22st 26rows = 4"/10cm in lace AFTER blocking, using size 4 needle
Rowan Rowanspun 4 Ply (100% wool, 163yd) 7 skeins in color 723 Sugar
Any laceweight weight yarn will work fine.
Intermediate knitting. Knit, purl, YO, K2Tog, SSK, Make 1, and especially stranded knitting, which is easier than it looks. All lacework is done on the right side
